One of the major challenges facing the black African nations today is that of leadership. Worse still, the African continent recycles the same breed of leaders bereft of new, original, and creative ideas to move the black nations forward.

Whether you believe this fact or not: Today, poverty in our clime is mainly that of creative thinking, innovative ideas, and ingenuity.

More also, the problem in the black African nations is not that of resource but resourcefulness.

Clay P. Bedford has rightly said, “You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.” It is upon this premise that Afro Scholars International – ‘The Potential Leaders’ has been established.

This project is to encourage and spur the black youths in charting ways for our nations to take their rightful position in the Committee of Great Nations of the world. This, we hope to achieve by complementing what the schools (junior, high and tertiary), and more importantly the homes, are teaching our young ones who are supposedly the future leaders of tomorrow. The journey of building great African nations starts with a step.

Therefore, the mission of The Black Jewels Network (the initiator of Afro Scholars International) is to develop excellence in the student’s academic performance, cultivate creativity, build self-confidence in our graduating youths, learn more with lots of fun, and ultimately, make future visionary and great leaders in the Black race.
